A ROUND Inn nestled peacefully on the waters edge of Dixon Lake in the Chippewa National Forest. Come see what all the fuss is about on Dixon Lake! This inn is nothing like you have ever seen before with meticulously artistic features through out. Try a relaxing nap in our cave which views the lake and is stuffed with comfy pillows. Have you ever seen a stained glass ceiling in a powder room or a ceiling that looks like clouds one minute and the next is northern lights. These are only a couple of the fun and unique features of the Inn. The home comforts elegance and rusticity in a uniquely blended way with two great rooms both facing the lake. Each great room provides a grand fireplace, cable TV and comfortable seating. The lower level great room has a bar, game table, poker table, guest kitchenette and walks out lake side to a cozy court yard surrounded by gardens. We have two themed guest rooms which gives a choice of elegance or rusticity, one room faces the lake, the other views the forest with majestic pines. Our in house suite is semi- private, like having a cabin it has a kitchen, bath and a separate entrance. This unit views the lake and the woods and also has a second lake view as the Inn sits on a peninsula. We serve wine and cheese daily and a hearty four course breakfast. We offer in room coffee service, turn down service and you may have your breakfast served where ever you like, we have many places to choose from. You can't go wrong with a stay like this, before you even arrive you will feel the relaxing nature of the area we live. Rest and relaxation just comes with the territory here in the Chippewa. We can help you with any of your touring, adventure or shopping needs all you need to do is ask. Nearby you will find ATV trails, horse trails, hiking trails and great hunting. In the winter months we offer over 200 acres of groomed cross country ski trails right out side our doors. The hot chocolate is always on and we moon light ski once a month with a bond fire after. We also have many trails for snowmobiling and are only 10 miles from groomed trails. We have skating, ice fishing and spearing but please ask about these activities. The entry leads you to the parlor, the dining room, or the library. A grand open staircase leads to the four guest rooms on the second level. Inviting private rooms are beautifully decorated with tasteful wall coverings, soft and inviting queen size beds, private baths, air conditioning, color televisions, and even CD players so bring your favorite music along. All are furnished with antiques, interesting decor, and, of course, Frogs and Bears. Located on the historic Gunflint Trail, the Gunflint Motel is a quaint five-unit Inn with suite style rooms. All rooms have cathedral ceilings and wood interiors throughout. Our charming B&B, built to circa 1750 central chimney Colonial plan, immerses you in old-world atmosphere the moment you step through the door. Enjoy one of our four rooms or log cottage delightfully decorated with authentic period antiques and interesting artifacts. Hungry Point Inn is tucked away just inside the Dakota County line in Ravenna Township, just minutes from historic Red Wing, amid the rugged terrain and nearby horse ranches in what is known as Hungry Point Farm. This unique rural country road is lined with pre-1820 architectural homes and is a mix of Colonial style and authentic relocated log homes. It has been in existence since 1967. A candlelight breakfast is provided each morning.
